Tea Time

we had tea
not sure if it was High Tea
or low tea
or just plain fun tea!
it involved 4 little girls
a grammy
and the beautiful
Mum
We tried on scarves
and gloves
and several outfits
we had
scones
and cucumber sandwiches
and other
'Fancy'
food
we had
Tea
with lots of sugar cubes
oh my
We tried to use
Good Manners
but sometimes....
you have to slurp
to get all the sugar from the bottom of the
CUP

We did have a great time. This was a spur of the moment idea suggested by the 'Mum' who was ready to get out of the house during Christmas break. We had our own room full of things to wear. We were served by the owner of 'Lavendar-N-Lace' and her husband who was dressed like a cowboy, not an English Butler (o:

This place is in Eaton Colorado and costs $10 for adults and 8 for kids. Look it up under lavender-n-lace.com

What a fun time, Pam. The pictures are really wonderful....all suitable for framing. How cool that they had the fancy things for everyone to wear. I bet this was really memorable for all the girls.

This is so cute and the kids with their hats look so old timie! Where did you get the hats? They looked like the old kind. I was saying to my grand daughter that on her next birthday party (not until next Oct)it would be fun to have a tea party.

What a fun day and worth the little bit of expense! It appears every one had a good time. We have a couple of tea rooms like that around here that have tea for the young ladies, too - - but they only have the hats for dress up - - not all the adorable outfits. What a treasured memory.

What a great time you all had! I love all the hats! I do miss those as I grew up wearing them to church every Sunday. What a wonderful place that must be. Nothing like that at all around here, although I have heard of restaurants offering teas, they don't do the costumes to go with it.

Hi there, I'm saving this info because it is probably 30 min. from us but something I'd love to do with my girl & grands. It sounded like it was geared towards kids too.
I loved seeing the girls all dressed up-so much fun.
Hope you have a good week.

Hi there, I knew I had read this but thought maybe I forgot to comment.
I sent it to both my girls and told them we need to do this in the spring-it is close to Carrie-probably 10 min. from her place.
Thanks again for sharing.
Hugs,Noreen
