What makes you happy
blue skies
fluffy white clouds
mountains in the distance
snow on the peaks
a path
I love love love
a path
my feet just have to follow
what blessings wait for me just around the corner
count them
and say Thank you God
I have not been counting, but I think it is a good idea. Journal them in a notebook, or takes pictures to keep track. Read the book 'One Thousand Gifts' for inspiration. I have been walking and talking. Not to a walking partner. Well not one that you can see. I just talk to Him... instead of asking ( which is what a lot of our prayer life ends up being ) I just observe and say...wow... thanks for that. It is really fun. It tickles me. Yes, I do get off track and think about supper, or... you name it...my mind is like a roulette wheel sometimes. It just spins and stops on the craziest things. Then I say...STOP! I just want to say Thanks. Here are a few of the recent things I either saw while walking or... brought up from my memory.
geese flying in a V
funny little birds
red berries
pine cones
frost
my frosty breath
little girl walking with Grammy
wearing dress up clothes
on the outside of her coat(o:
teaching 9 year old Grand to play ping pong
energy to go up and down stairs
on knees that work
McDonalds 50 cent coffee for seniors
McDonalds WiFi
electric blankets
barking dogs that have to stay
behind the fence
an older couple holding hands
someone picking up litter
just to be nice
Hope you have fun counting you blessings. Share some with us (o:

You and I have so much in common Pam. I love doing all of those very things. And my mind tends to wander too!!
Very fitting post for today. We are so very very thankful for the big rain we received today. It was so very necessary and God answered our prayers. The great thing about it was that almost everyone got some rain in the Chaco not just some like most times.

I receive blessings every day that are so awesome that they are difficult to describe but being able to use the body that I was given, the smell of coffee brewing in the morning, taking a refreshing shower after weeks of not being able to, the joy of hearing a grandchild laugh, and knowing that I have friends that I will probably never meet who care about me all the same.
You have so many good ones here. I like planning on writing them down or taking pictures just because it helps me to be intentional...don't know if I can post everyday...but I will make an effort! I love paths too--I also love the way kids put on dress up clothes right over everything--so much fun...when you said picking up litter I thought of cat litter!!ha!I wish starbucks had a seniors coffee!
I love the way you think and translate your thoughts into words so beautifully that I can envision you walking and talking to thee, Pam.
Have a blessed day my friend.
:)
I especially like that one about stairs and knees that work...I have a lot of stairs here and surely do think that is a blessing ! I love all the list but that one stood out. Hope your Friday is a fantastic one!
Too many times we pray to ask Him for something and forget to thank Him instead for what He has given us:-) Counting our blessings can really be so much fun!! Mine have been...the big fat snowflakes that were coming down yesterday...the doves eating the seeds we leave them...the squirrel racing around everywhere like a madman...the gorgeous sunsets we've been having...having lunch with my mom and seeing her laughing...etc.:-) xoxo
Very well said!

There are so many, many things to be thankful for. We should never have a reason to complain - - but yet I do at times. However, more often than not, I am looking at the thankful side of life!
Thanks for the reminder. I too often forget to count the blessings that are staring me in the face. I drove past a church the other day with this sign "what if you only had the things you thank God for" Made me stop and think.
Love this. Is is a great idea to journal and keep photos. blessings,Kathleen
