The Christmas of Electronics

Christmas Day at the Kinz Kids house
That big present was a source of lots of fun
first the girls got to help blow up lots of balloons
and stick a dollar bill in them...tie a knot
and you have a unique present for a preteen boy
the only boy
with 5 girls ...yikes
thanks to Aunt Jaime
he got what he wanted (money towards an ipad) and lots of fun.
This was the Christmas of electronics....
Avery got a Nintendo DS
Rylan with her Leap Pad
tiny Shaylee with her Leap Pad
Kyla got a Kindle... but here she is snooping around Moms computer
Their Daddy with his computer...(not new, but can't stay away from it)
They played with these 'screens' all day long
Grandpa playing with my present....
Mommy helping Rylan
Morgan came with her new phone
Here's Jonah before he opened his gift...
if you tell him to smile...this is what you get
I should have told him to act MAD
There he is inside popping all the balloons...
with an audience of girls
His Aunt Jaime said she would keep the box in the basement and he could use it for a fort
whenever he is there
'No Girls Allowed'
here he is counting his money
Morgan got PJ's from me....
and Kyla had already got some from her Mom and Dad
we did not plan this...
it just happened...
they were thrilled to be 'Matching'

It's over!! I am thrilled it happened...it came...it was wonderful...but I am kind of glad it is 'Over'. My husband had Monday off, so we had a date Day. Planned by ME (o: A few stores, visited my sister that had knee surgery, a movie (The War Horse), soup at Panera Bread, home to watch a rented movie. What a great day. Hope you all had a great Christmas. I am betting you all had plenty of 'screens' lighting up your Christmas Day.

so funny about the matching PJ's--talk about thinking alike! I can see it was a very electronic Christmas. The big box was amazing--that must have been quite fun. So did you like the War Horse movie? I thought it sounded depressing for a movie that comes out this time of the year.

Look at all the contented faces. I do believe they had fun and so did you! What a great idea with the money in the balloons - - and then putting them in that big box. That was very, very clever.
So glad you and Hubby had a fun day together. You deserved it and so did he.

I love the balloon box ... although if I got it I might be a bit upset. ha.

we had to keep it very simple this year -- the first time I've ever had to be careful what I spent.

It looks like everyone had lots of fun...and will keep having some with all of those new electronics.
I agree about Christmas....it is fun to have it come but not so bad to have it go until the next year.
You got some really great pictures.

From what I heard and saw, there were a lot of electronics in my families Christmas too. It sound like you had a great Christmas at your house. I wondered about that movie too, I saw it advertised and thought it looked good. Now it's on to the New Year...

Isn't it weird - everyone looking down at a screen! I don't know quite what to think of all of that stuff. Dwight got me a new touch Ipod, and we're having a time getting it going. It'll be fun once I figure it out, I hope!

The big box of balloons was a fabulous idea.

I love the idea of tieing money to balloons and stuffing them in a big box.
Christmas electronics ruled the day and everyone was happy.
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year, Pam.

I love the balloon box idea. So much more fun than just a cheque or cash in an envelope. Will have to remember that.
I agree with Dawn, it´s pretty weird having everyone looking at their screens, but i´m sure they didn´t look at them all day.
I´m glad it´s "over" too. :)

I'm glad to have the decorations packed away again!!!

It was electronics everywhere, I think!

I'm hobbling around on crutches again. Turned my knee again and it is stiff and swollen. I probably need to check out the surgery option but oh I hate anything pertaining to the "Knife"
