So....have you been as busy as I have? The madness has begun. It happens around November 1st. It just does. You think you can hold it back...but as in the tides...it is here. The 'Season'. I refuse to be washed away by it. I just want to float calmly on the surface. Yesterday I worked the whole....WHOLE... entire day on my advent stuff for the Grandkids. I collect stuff all year (clearance crafts and 'stuff') to put into their advent box. I love to do it...but it is a chore. The worst part was laying out all the lunch sacks (24 numbered sacks that go into a big plastic box. ) on the floor. Did I think I was something other than a GRANDMA? My back was killing me by the end of the day. To much stooping ... bending... sitting on the floor ect.
I have been trying to put my house back together after the kids moved out. It is kind of crazy to have empty rooms. I just stare at them and think about the possibilities (o: One will be our office craft room again. We had made this special little nook for ourselves several years back. Back before Tyson moved back from Kansas....and it became his room. Back before Tracee and Dave moved in and it became their bedroom and 'House' downstairs. Ty moved upstairs and dismantled the guest room. Do I dare to make it back into an office craft room???
No one noticed in the last picture that Kyla's hair had been straightened. She normally has long VERY curly hair. The glasses were just a prop (o:

I love that blouse in the picture! I think some people can stand any which way and look good--I am not one of them. It must be nice having the extra room now!
As far as Advent goes, I take it easy on my self and give them a calendar that you punch out the number and count down the days til Christmas. With so many grands in so many different places it would be impossible to do otherwise. Your special date picture is wonderful. You look so young to be a grandma. These kind of busy days for me are wonderful. Hope you are enjoying your Tuesday.
Grab that room and claim it for your own! And don't feel bad about it. I have begun to collect Christmas gifts and stashing them in our guest room. I have to remember they are there and get them wrapped and hidden away before any of the "kids" pop in and find them!
I agree with Kathy. Make the room yours now. It´s finally empty and you should enjoy it.
You are the best grandma ever. I hope I will be so good to my grandkids with the advents gifts and all. I´m sure they are all excited and love it!
That's why I am almost "never" in pictures....I don't like mine.....
ha
Redo that room til your hearts content! It will be a fun project.
(what did you do when you were a grownup....lol) Oh gosh!
Hi there, What a great picture of you and your man!!!! A date night where you have to get dressed up-wow. I think you'll adjust to having some empty rooms at your house. Loved catching up; we have to plan a Dec. outing, just don't know what????
Love, Noreen
You both look darling and just perfect and wow! If I got Terry in a suit we would both be shocked. Then if he got in a suit I would have to get in a dress...
Okay, we won't go there.

And just when I thought you were taking it easy.. not possible for Grammy Pam.
Make a special room just for you to enjoy and hang a sign on the door.. 'not for rent'.
Hugs and smiles

The pictures are really great, Pam. You both look really good.
I agree with those who say to take the room and make it your own. I'm sure you can think of plenty of things to use it for.
Someday if I ever quit working you will have to get me up to speed on the crafts for the grankdids.
Nice articles. I'm just blogwalking and very happy to stop here. And also give you some comment here.
Dont forget to give us some your comment into my blog too.
Thanks for share,

You are a sweet looking couple. I had to smile about the little one asking about what you were when you were a grown up. I honestly can tell you........I can't wait to be a grandma! blessings,Kathleen
You both look just terrific! (I understand about the hand "thing.")
What fun it will be to transform those rooms into just what you like.
Once again, I have to tell you what an absolutely amazing grandmother you are!
I think you and your hubby look wonderful in the pictures:-) Sometimes it's fun to dress up and go out on a real date!!
It's funny that you should mention your hands because just the other day I was looking at mine and thinking "oh no, my hands are starting to look old"! lol
Sounds like quite the project you do for Advent but I have no doubt the grands love it. I'm thinking of starting next week to start getting ready for Christmas...takes me longer to do things these days! lol xoxo
Sure do admire your spunk -- to do all that advent calendar business.
I'm not even started Christmas shopping. Sigh.
ps. you guys look handsome and beautiful. And yes my hands look old. I'm hoping gloves come back into style (:
Love the pictures - where did you go on your date??
My hands - they are the most obvious part of my body that I am definitely a grandma! And not a young one.
As for the season - I am in total denial that I have to shop at all. Just don't want to!! Wonder how I'll get over that idea. The two choirs, plus listening to the kids' one are making me definitely enjoy the season, which is just what I want to do - enjoy it!
I'm so far behind - two weeks since I posted. I'm in Maine sitting on the couch, catching up on reading. I hope I can get something out of my head and onto the screen soon!
You both look so nice. I try to never be in pictures - I am not a photgenic person.
Our Oct and Nov are so filled with birthdays and our anniversary that Thanksgiving and Christmas always sneak up on me. I thought I was ahead of the game this year, but after sitting down last week and taking close inventory, I still have tons to do. The next few weekends are going to be very busy.
